Mimoco Debuts Limited Edition Comedy Central MIMOBOTS

At Licensing Expo 2013, Mimoco® (www.mimoco.com), the Boston-based consumer electronics design studio, is proud to announce their newest licensing partnership with COMEDY CENTRAL. The co-branded collaboration with the all-comedy network brings limited edition USB flash drives for the hit scripted series “Workaholics” in MIMOBOT® form and function, along with other COMEDY CENTRAL properties.

Mimoco is preparing for their annual pilgrimage to San Diego Comic-Con, where in 2005 they launched their company and MIMOBOT brand of designer USB flash drives merging art toy aesthetics with the functionality of personal data storage devices. Over the next month, week by week, Mimoco will let fans in on their newest collaborations – eight LTD.ED. SDCC exclusive MIMOBOT flash drives, one for each year of their existence, each a sparkling candle burning bright in Mimoco’s metaphoric birthday cake!

Mimoco kicks off the celebration with their first foray with COMEDY CENTRAL properties that will see “Blake” from “Workaholics” and other COMEDY CENTRAL properties as LTD. ED. MIMOBOT flash drives debuting at SDCC ’13, each in hand-numbered runs of 1000 units or less, in up to 128GB capacities, as well as in USB3.0 speeds. As with all MIMOBOT drives, these will be preloaded with bonus digital Mimory® including the MimoDesk® personalization suite of wallpapers, icons, and avatars, exclusive MimoByte® sound software unique to each character, and more content like story boards and digital clips from the television shows. A portion of each limited edition run is now available for pre-order exclusively at www.mimoco.com with the option for delivery on site at SDCC, where the styles will make their first appearance.
“Blake” of “Workaholics” MIMOBOT – Full-time telemarketer and loyal roommate to “Ders” and “Adam,” “Blake” is often viewed as the goofy sidekick by his two closest friends, but he usually finds himself having to be the voice of reason and must stop his friends before they go too far.  After work when he gets to relax and unwind, he dons his Bear Coat to kick back and look grizzly for the ladies. You can get your very own “Blake” MIMOBOT, but there are only 1000 being made, so you don’t want to miss out on this one, that’s fur sure.
